By Adventure Matt from Deep woods in TN on 11/02/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really a well made product. My only issue is I ordered a wide so I could wear thick sock when it's cold and the wide feels like a regular. If you have a wide foot you may want to try before u buy

By Bucknoid from Kittitas, Wa. on 10/26/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Flexible, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I intended to use these boots at work in the mountains in the sunmmer- fall untill snow hits and don full-on cold weather boots. The Echo seemed comfy enough with excellent traction however, the tongue seems to cause me discomfort at the top due to lack of padding, they also seemed 1/2 size small particularly going downhill. I sold them to a friend, he loves them. The price is right, I will buy boots with a more padded tongue.
By dc2jmccall from Bedford, Texas on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe itself is very comfortable at the get-go but the sole is not flexible at all. My military boots are more flexible with more cushioning on the rear sole. They look good but Merrell might be a better choice.
By Leankeenan from Big Thompson Canyon, CO on 10/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After hiking in trail runners all summer, I forgot how really good boots make the hike so much easier. I bought these for winter boots and will find myself reaching for them all year long.
By tim from Seattle, WA on 10/15/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not put them through the water test yet but they went over 4000 vertical feet and 9 miles on their first hike with no problems... I have wide feet and the ee size fit my orthotics perfectly.
By trail boss from new mexico on 10/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have very wide feet and find Asolo one of the few makers that fit me correctly. This is a great boot for day hiking, but I would not recommend it for those carrying heavy loads.
By nick from bozeman, mt on 10/01/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have only had these for a few weeks, but am very pleased, and am anxious to see if they turn out to be better than my previous hikers (Vasque Zephyr), which I loved. They feel very athletic, with a great, ergonomic fit. Gave them 4 stars, because I haven't had enough time yet to discern their true worth.
